Mission: The mission of the Western New York Local Navigator Network is to empower oncology nurse navigators, patient navigators, care coordinators and social workers to collaborate, mentor and support each other, advocate for patients and caregivers, and reduce barriers throughout the cancer continuum.
Vision: The vision of the Western New York Local Navigator Network of AONN+ is to increase collaboration, and share knowledge and resources that promotes access to appropriate cancer care, improves outcomes and enhances quality of life for patients and caregivers.
Objectives:
- Foster collaboration among oncology navigators across institutions in the region.
- Provide networking opportunities by holding at least 4 meetings a year
- Share resources that allow for best-practice and help to reduce barriers
- Promote professional development through mentorship, education and improved access to CEU’s
