The Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) is pleased to introduce a host of new awards to be presented at the Ninth Annual Navigation & Survivorship Conference in Dallas, TX! These awards grant prestigious recognition to oncology navigators, researchers, employers, and individuals for their contributions to better patient care and their professions.
The nomination period for the 2018 AONN+ Awards has closed. An announcement will be made with the names of the finalists the AONN+ Leadership Council has selected for the open categories. Thank you for your participation.
The 2018 AONN+ Award recipients will be recognized at intervals throughout the AONN+ Annual Conference, taking place November 15-18.
2018 AONN+ Awards Categories
The AONN+ Leadership Council is delighted to present the AONN+ Awards categories for 2018.
The public was invited to submit nominations in the following categories.
The Organizational Recognition Award acknowledges the employers who recognize and support oncology navigation.
The Oncology Navigation Excellence (ONE) Award recognizes an oncology navigator for his or her outstanding contributions to oncology navigation, patient care, or education.
The Hero of Hope Patient Award annually recognizes an individual whose life is touched by cancer for his or her outstanding contributions to the cancer community.
The following categories are not open for public nominations.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an AONN+ member for his or her career achievements and outstanding contributions to cancer care.
The Evidence Into Practice Award recognizes an AONN+ member who has conducted evidenced-based research that builds upon the body of work in oncology navigation.
The Outstanding Local Navigator Network Award recognizes a Local Navigator Network’s outstanding effort in the establishment of a forum for professional development and networking that aligns with the Academy’s mission.
The Ambassador Award recognizes an AONN+ member’s dedicated ambassadorship of the Academy’s core values to oncology patients, their families, and professional communities.
*Most award winners are given free AONN+ membership, conference registration, and granted travel and accommodation to the AONN+ Annual Conference.
