Commission on Cancer Recognizes AONN+ Foundation for Learning, Inc. Oncology Nurse Navigator–Certified Generalist℠ (ONN-CG℠)

(FFL), based in Cranbury, NJ, has achieved national recognition from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC). The CoC confirmed the AONN+ FFL, Inc., Oncology Nurse Navigator–Certified Generalist℠ (ONN-CG℠) demonstrates compliance under Standard 4.2 entitled “Oncology Nursing Credentials.” The Commission defines this standard as “Oncology nursing care is provided by nurses with specialized knowledge and skills demonstrated by a cancer-specific certification or continuing education in oncology nursing.” Obtaining the ONN-CG℠ certification qualifies under this CoC standard.”
AONN+ Foundation for Learning Conducts Regional Certification Exams in 2020 or Oncology Nurse and Patient Navigators
October 8, 2020 (Cranbury, NJ): AONN+ Foundation for Learning, Inc (AONN+ FFL) announces opportunities to sit for the Oncology Nurse Navigator–Certified Generalist (ONN-CGSM) and the Oncology Patient Navigator–Certified Generalist (OPN-CGSM) certification exams. These national certifications are only offered through AONN+ FFL and can be achieved only by sitting for the exam at one of the following 5 locations on Saturday, November 14, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Registration MUST be completed by Saturday, October 24.

This credential is important for anyone who provides cancer navigation services and is not a nurse. For nurses, AONN+ is providing the Oncology Nurse Navigator – Certified Generalist credential (ONN-CG).
