Oncology navigators are proactive in many ways. They actively initiate contact and communicate with people across the care continuum to educate, ensure access to care, and create collaboration among the healthcare team for best treatment. Similarly, Local Navigator Networks (LNNs) are also reaching out and connecting with healthcare professionals involved with oncology navigation. This networking and connecting may take LNN leaders outside of their local group and into the surrounding community.
