Mission: In alignment with the national AONN+ mission, SCONN strives to advance the role of navigation of cancer care to provide best patient outcomes in the Coastal and Pee Dee regions of South Carolina.
Vision: The vision of SCONN is to provide a place for education, networking, renewal, and support to all who navigate patients during their care journey in the Coastal and Pee Dee regions of South Carolina.
Objectives:
- Host quarterly virtual lunchtime meetings to share knowledge, resources, and support within the local oncology navigation community
- To strengthen local and regional connections by encouraging active participation in meetings and membership
- Disseminate updates and navigation offerings from AONN+ to members
Membership Requirements:
- Must provide navigation services for facilities or organizations located in the Lowcountry or Pee Dee regions of South Carolina as a patient or nurse navigator, social worker, financial navigator / counselor or genetic counselor.
- Navigators outside these regions who wish to connect with a Local Navigator Network (LNN) should contact SCONN leadership via email for assistance.
- Demonstrate an interest in professional and leadership development.
- While AONN+ membership is strongly encouraged, it is not required for SCONN participation.
No SCONN membership dues are required for the 2024–2025 term.
