Yes, she works 36 hours per week. She processed 356 tests in 2023. Hope that helps!

This is very interesting - is anyone that is doing this able to provide Job Description and volume they have for this type of navigator.  I'd love to incorporate this potentially in our fiscal year budget ask to help reduce the burden for our navigators as a whole as currently each disease navigators track and manage these requests individually.

Thanks

Hi Wendy, we don't have a job description, but I can give you info on volume of work. I'm currently managing orders for 4 med oncs. Since I started doing these in November, I've handled 74 molecular testing orders. 12 of these tests are repeating orders (ex: continuous testing every 3 months). In addition to the 74 orders, I've also had to correct older pending orders that were held up due to errors on the requisition, missing info, etc.

What EMR/format are you using to track this information - we do NOT have EPIC so I hope you don't either so we can be on equal ground from that aspect.

Thanks for the information!

Hi, we do have Epic but that's not what I'm using to track these. I use a regular Excel spreadsheet.
