The Academy of Oncology Nurse and Patient Navigators (AONN+) was excited to hear that President Joe Biden is resuming the Cancer Moonshot initiative. Despite the pandemic, AONN+ has continued to grow and expand in the areas of healthcare disparities, health equity and patient advocacy, and our members on the frontlines have delivered patient-focused care with newer therapeutics, diagnostics, and supportive care. Cancer did not stop and neither did the work or professional growth of navigators. The organization recognized the strength in collaboration as we went forward with other like-minded organizations on initiatives to further support our cancer patients. AONN+ supports our members, health system partners, and other colleagues in their efforts to manage cancer and eliminate barriers to care.
