Objectively review AONN+ member abstracts and provide feedback for revision, with the greater goal of building momentum and evidence around navigation

2018 Highlights
- Record year for abstract submissions!
- Full committee with numerous new members
- Provided a webinar for how to grade abstracts prior to call for abstracts
- First abstract rubric from each team was reviewed by committee co-chairs for consistency
- Created a final rubric that includes the poster
- Committee co-chairs have committed to continue for 2019
2019 Goals
- Capitalize on strategic alliances to receive more abstracts from 3 main groups below and hold focused webinars to encourage abstract submission from their research and initiatives
- American Cancer Society

- Sarah Cannon
- Robust committee of reviewers
- Retain many current committee members
- Attract new members
- Have no one person grading more than one category
- Committee co-chairs go to Midyear with table for committee enrollment and engagement
- Increase number of abstracts received to 100 and abstracts accepted to 100, posters considered to 75
- Pharma abstracts – consider new evaluation rubric
- Firmer deadlines for submissions
- Will help encourage interest in submission when guidelines are set
- Will align us with other national organizations
- Consider initial deadline then a “late-breaking” deadline
