Standardized Metrics

The AONN+ Standardized Metrics Task Force collaborated with Oncology Solutions, LLC, to develop the NAVmetrics cloud-based IT platform powered by Oncology Solutions’ ONC iQ® business intelligence tool for navigators to utilize for data capture, management, and reporting of navigation metrics. The study aim is to validate the Standardized Evidence-Based Oncology Navigation Metrics.
Dr Edward Partridge explains how the AONN+ standardized navigation metrics align with the Oncology Care Model as well as where the differences lie.
This educational initiative, derived from the 2017 AONN+ West Coast Regional Meeting, is designed to meet the educational needs of hematology/oncology nurse navigators and registered nurses; other healthcare professionals, such as patient navigators and social workers who have a focus on cancer and survivorship, are encouraged to participate.
As the move to value-based care and Alternative Payment Models (APMs) continues, oncology patient navigators must become more business savvy and have a full understanding about value-based cancer care metrics.
These superheroes represent the 8 domains which encompass the AONN+ standardized navigation metrics and should help navigators to better understand the basis behind each domain and the skills necessary to provide quality patient care and financial stability for their organizations.
