Oncology Nurse in CaLM Clinic
Seeking bold, creative, and passionate Oncology RNs who are looking to help us pioneer this innovative model of cancer care. Delivers nursing interventions to oncology patients; Considers the patients physical, cultural, psycho-social, and spiritual and age specific needs when planning care; Triages telephone calls received from patients, caregiver, or other members of the healthcare team; Prepares equipment and assists physicians during physical exams and medical procedures.
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing. Three years of general nursing experience with some administrative experience. Current CPR certification. Three years’ experience in oncology, supportive care, or palliative care outpatient clinical practice Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various delicate, formal, or urgent situations. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients. Must be comfortable and flexible with changing priorities and self-directed problem solving.
