2017 Annual Conference
This educational initiative is directed toward hematology and oncology nurse navigators, patient navigators, oncology social workers, administrators, case managers, care managers, oncology nurses, advanced practice nurses and nurse practitioners, and practice managers whose focus is on cancer care and survivorship.
After having breakfast in the Exhibit Hall with friends and colleagues, conference guests took part in the AONN+ Navigator Networks Workshop. Attendees then convened in the Mediterranean Ballroom for Poster Award presentations and the remaining sessions of this year’s event.
Attendees were up early Saturday, and eager for another jam-packed day of learning. In addition to the multitude of insightful sessions ahead of them, many were looking forward to hearing from this year’s keynote speaker and world-class gymnast, Shannon Miller.
Day 2 of the Eighth Annual Navigation & Survivorship Conference brought the highly popular N.E.X.T. Day Tracks. These presentations provide pharmaceutical and biomedical representatives with the opportunity to share the latest medical innovations, findings, and treatments in the oncology arena. The day kicked off with a breakfast session, sponsored by Bristol-Myers Squibb, titled Caring for Your OPDIVO™ (nivolumab) Patients.
On Thursday, AONN+ welcomed more than 1,000 nurse and patient navigators to the JW Marriott, Grande Lakes, in sunny Orlando, Florida, for our Eighth Annual Navigation & Survivorship Conference. This is a much-anticipated event for our leadership and members, and this year’s conference promises to be our best yet! Over the next few days, attendees will delve into some of the hottest topics in navigation and cancer treatment.
