Program Overview
The role of the navigator is ever-evolving. At times, it can be difficult to clearly define your role as a navigator and implement processes and best practices to deliver the best possible patient care. To better understand and navigate these issues, we invite you to a free webinar, entitled “AONN+ Writing an Abstract”. This webinar is presented by Danelle Johnston, MSN, RN, ONN-CG, OCN, Chief Nursing Officer, Senior Director of Strategic Planning and Initiatives with The Lynx Group, as part of a collaboration between the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) and the Midwest Cancer Alliance.
Target Audience
This educational initiative is intended for hematology/oncology nurse navigators, patient navigators, and social workers whose focus is on cancer care and survivorship. It will also be useful for nurse practitioners, oncology nurses, advanced practice nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in managing patients with cancer.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Articulate the necessary, key components of an abstract
- Understand how clinical data can be used to formulate an abstract through discussion of an actual case study
- Identify the tools and resources necessary to create an abstract
- Comprehend the process of abstract submission for the AONN+ Conference
