Denise Yoshihara, MSW, LCSW, OSW-C

Denise M. Yoshihara is LCSW Supervisor, Oncology Services, as well as a clinical social worker at St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. Recognized for her work at St. Jude, Ms Yoshihara has been awarded with the institution’s Values in Action – Dignity Award, as well as its Values in Action – Service, Excellence, Dignity and Justice Award. Her committee and volunteer work has included serving on the Advance Directive Task Force for St. Joseph Health System, and as the Psychosocial Services Coordinator on the Cancer Committee, on the Conversation Ready Project, the Culture of Wellness Committee, Palliative Care Committee, and Untie Your Ribbon Retreat Committee at St. Jude Medical Center. She has served as a speaker for events at St. Jude Medical Center and beyond, along with as a facilitator for events supporting patients with cancer. Ms Yoshihara is a member of the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators, Association of Oncology Social Work, National Association of Social Workers, and Orange County Cancer Coalition. After earning a bachelor of social work at California State University, Los Angeles, Ms Yoshihara went on to earn a master of social work from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. A licensed clinical social worker, she is also certified by the Board of Oncology Social Work, and earned a certificate in Healing Through Art.
